Our commitment to quality and advanced manufacturing capabilities ensure that each glass product delivers unparalleled performance and satisfaction.
Safety and Security Glass
From weather to fire resistance, our specialist glass can protect a building and its occupants from accidental and deliberate damage while still allowing innovative and attractive design.
Safety and security glass is engineered to withstand impact and minimise the risk of injury and is often used in ‘critical’ internal and external environments. The main applications of safety glass are:
-
Low-level windows
-
Glazing in doors
-
Balustrades
-
Glass stairs
-
Glass floors
Safety and security glass is treated differently from standard annealed to enhance durability. The glass must pass testing to measure the impact it can withstand before it breaks and how it breaks. Annealed glass breaks into large jagged shards that can pierce or cause deep, life-threatening cut.
There are two types of safety glass:
Laminated glass consists of two or more layers bonded by an interlayer, typically made of polyvinyl butyral (PVB or EVA). This design enhances safety, as the fragments adhere to the interlayer even when shattered, reducing the risk of injuries and maintaining structural integrity.

Toughened glass (also known as tempered) undergoes a thermal process that strengthens it, making it several times stronger than regular glass. In the event of breakage, it shatters into small, harmless pieces, minimising the risk of injury.

Sound Control Glass
There aren’t many places you can go to avoid noise, whether you’re by busy main roads, railways, or industrial estates; you’ll often find yourself looking for ways to reduce sound levels and meet noise requirements.
Sound control glass, or acoustic glass, is designed to minimise noise transmission between spaces. It incorporates specialised interlayers that absorb and dampen sound vibrations, providing a quieter environment. Ideal for urban settings, offices, and residential areas seeking enhanced acoustic comfort.
Tailor acoustic glass to meet specific building needs, including sustainability. Combine it with low-E coatings for improved thermal insulation, contributing to energy efficiency and reducing the carbon footprint.
